Authentic Conversion At Brewery Lofts

The Brewery Lofts is a seminal building in the city – it was a brave move by The Sorbara Group to convert a massive warehouse into residential units. Today, it stands as one of the finest examples of an authentic conversion building, in an increasingly vibrant neighbourhood.

Built in 1956, The Brewery Lofts was converted to residential use in the 1990’s. Prior to this, the building was home to CBC as their prop and design warehouse.

This building represents everything that a true vintage loft should: rich in history which is preserved throughout the building, massive volumes, 14 foot ceilings, oversized hallways and doors, open concept, raw mushroom columns and polished concrete floors.

What’s special about this suite is that it’s south facing, overlooking a quiet treelined courtyard. The sun beams through all day and can be enjoyed on the private terrace. For larger gatherings there’s a spacious rooftop terrace equipped with BBQ’s and city views.

The story of 90 Sumach can be seen in the video posted below.
